Loch Ness Adventure
Loch Ness Adventure
Loch Ness is a large, deep freshwater lake (or "loch", as it is known in Scotland) that has been made famous by the mystery of the Loch Ness Monster, also known as "Nessie". The lake is close to Inverness and is the second largest lake in Scotland after Loch Lomond. Due to the high peat content of the water, there is limited visibility into the lake, which has further fueled the mystery surrounding Nessie, who is believed to be lying hidden beneath the water.

About the Loch Ness Monster
Sightings of Nessie have been reported since 1933, with many describing it as a large lake monster with a long neck - there are even some photographs and film footage of it. The most common speculation among believers is that the Loch Ness Monster is a type of long-surviving plesiosaurs, while others believe it to be a myth. Consequently, it remains one of the most famous examples of cryptozoology. Although, several of the most famous photographs of the beast, including The Surgeon's Photograph, have been confirmed as hoaxes there is still much excitement and belief surrounding Nessie. The magical atmosphere of Loch Ness can most certainly not be doubted, making it a lovely destination for a vacation in Scotland.
